Madden NFL 2008 Always have first pick in draft: -------------------------------- Submitted by: RM Start a franchise with the trade deadline off. Sim or play the season to Week 17. Find out which team has the worst record. Trade your first draft pick for their first pick and they will always accept. Note: You can also do this with second through seventh draft picks as well. Fantasy Challenge mode: ----------------------- Make sure you have all the desired players from that league on your team before the last game (championship). You will not be able to get the players if you win the championship because you will move on to the next league. Three Players On One Team Rating: --------------------------------- In order to get three controllers aligned to the same team, do the following. With all three controllers on, choose the same side with controllers one and two. During gameplay, press start on controller one and enter the menu. Turn the second controller off. Then, with the first controller, head to settings and controller setup. Slide the third controller to the same side. Go back to the start menu, and just before resuming gameplay, turn controller two back on (there should be a rumble on the second controller). Changes will come into effect after the first play. RM Unlockable: Hall of Fame Teams: ------------------------------- In order to unlock the AFC/NFC Hall of Fame teams (like the Glaciers, Dummies, et cetera), you must complete the in-game Fantasy Challenge. To unlock these teams so you can play as them, you must beat them in Supreme League mode; otherwise, you will only get to play them, not as them. Performance Institute Exploit: ------------------------------ To increase your chosen character's statistics faster, hence making him a superstar more rapidly, try the following exploit. On gameday (Sunday), enter the Performance Institute and complete the exercise. After exiting, head over to your team's schedule and enter. Then, exit back out to the city map, and the Performance Institute exercise will appear again for you to use. You can do this over and over again if you want. Stick Flex: ----------- When creating or editing a player, make sure to consider his strength (size and weight) when choosing the Stick Flex setting. Bigger, stronger players can deliver a more powerful shot with a stiffer flex. Smaller players however do not have the strength to utilize the stiffer flex settings. Make sure to make the necessary adjustments by providing them with a more flexible stick. Staying under the salary cap: ----------------------------- Use the following trick to keep a good player under the salary cap for a long time. When signing players, sign them for seven years. Give them nothing for a signing bonus. Give them the minimum they will accept for the seven year contract. Your player will then have a seven year contract with the same salary for those seven years. The salary cap will go up every year but their salary will remain the same, so you will actually have more room under the cap for your other players over the following years. When drafting a rookie, also sign him for seven years. Give him $70,000 for bonus and give him the minimum for the contract. By doing this, you will also save on the rookies for a long time. Once in a while your players will holdout but it is worth it in the long run. If you get fed up with your higly paid player or get a better one cheaper, you will be charged nothing in penalty the following season.
