Then instead of pushing the trash can just to throw it away, click on the construction button then click on the bulldozer on the pop up screen. You don't get all the money back but you do get some. Works especially well with rollercoasters, bulldozing one track piece at a time because you actually get all your money back. If it's too small he'll just walk right off, and if it's too large then he won't get any happier. After a couple seconds, he'll be in the middle happiness. Hints: ------ Submitted by: unkown There's no need to do what James says above about hiring Security Guards. They are very expensive. The only reason peeps vandalize is because they have walked over puke, trash, or have passed a full trash can more than 2 or 3 times. All you have to do is make sure you have handymen assigned to different areas of the park, especially following the exits of high nausea rides or near food stands, if you keep it clean NOBODY will vandalize your park. No need for security! Also, if your peeps have to wait in the queue line for 9 or more minutes they will say, "I've been standing in this line for ages." The satisfaction percentage of the ride will be low and your park rating will suffer considerably. There are many ways to resolve this. 1. Shorten the length of the ride if possible, ie. 2 times around on the ferris wheel instead of 3, etc. etc. 2. Shorten your queue line. 3. Put TV monitors in your queue line. This will cheer them up a bit. 4. Assign an entertainer to the queue line that you're having the trouble with and this will work even better than the TV monitor. So make the price of the pretty big and let people get on. (Don't do a test run.) Then when people don't get on because it os too intense delete one section and put the same thing back. A Real Cash Cow: ---------------- Submitted by: Gert Prinsloo To build up cash quickly with a very low start up cost do the following. Under Research Priorities deselect everything except Rollercoasters. Wait until the Steel Rollercoaster has been researched. Then build a "Shuttle loop". Now go modify it by deleting every piece of track to just behind the loop, now add a second loop to it and 8 or 9 steep incline tracks. Switch the powered launch speed to 60mph. The excitement rating is 5.64 without any ride improvements. For and even better effect build another one right alongside the first and syncronise them. An added bonus is that geusts will even go on this ride while it is raining. Yippee Hole: ----- Select land… four squares; and find an empty area you will not use. Lower the land a significant amount. Then, select one square land. Raise the perimeter a significant amount. You have just made a hole where you can do many things: Make guests mad (useful for other glitches), trap guests so that the guest number gives enough to win, or if you make it larger, you can fit a food stand and toilet there, raise the price, and make them pay. Also try enabling the "Guest Name" cheats, then trap them in there so they cannot leave. Target game: ----------- To play the target game, first build a huge lake of water. Then, raise the land inside the lake like a target. Go to "Scenery And Theming" and put banners up on the land parts in the water. Build a Shuttle Loop and set it to a normal speed, facing the water. Let guests ride it while you put point numbers on the banners. When the maximum of people are on the ride, change the speed to a higher setting and make it ramp off. Try to make the coaster crash on the land areas. To make it more fun, put one patch of path down by the Shuttle Loop and post you highest score. Note: You must demolish and rebuild your coaster after launching it. Build higher roller coasters: ----------------------------- While building, take your coaster up to its maximum. Then, in front of the end of the coaster, raise the land to maximum. Next, build the coaster on the raised land to the max. If making a drop next, you may have to continue to raise your land further until the coaster touches the fall. This trick is best done in Arid Heights because of no money. Never ending roller coaster: ---------------------------- Build a Steel-Corkscrew coaster and set it as "Reverse Incline-Powered Launch Mode". Make sure it goes up the slope as if you were building any roller coaster in this manner). Then, make the track meet the top of the reverse-incline at the beginning. Note: You might need a lot of boosters to make it get back to the top. If you built it so that the train can get back to the station, it will not stop because the option will only accept the train when it arrives backward. Shuttle Loop crash: ------------------- To kill guests, make a Shuttle Loop. It must be closed to do this. Click on it and go to the wheel things. They are tan and pinkish. It will read 40 mph. If you make it higher than 42 mph, when it goes up it will crash and fly off the track. As much as eight people will die. However, this may decrease the population of your park. Keep guests from exiting: ------------------------- Use the following trick to keep guests trapped without using space. Pick a guest that you want trapped in the park. When the window appears for what to do with them, pick them up. Instead of dropping them, just close the window to have them trapped forever without ever seeing them. This also stops them from getting happier/unhappy, hungry, thirsty, needing to use the washroom, or tiring out. This is best used when the person you have selected is very happy. If you are nervous about a goal requiring a certain number of people, you can use this to grab as many as needed. Alternately, you can empty a park while keeping ratings and number of people. Having troube paying back loans?: --------------------------------- Before you start a new scenario and you don't want to run into financial trouble down the road, here's what you should do. Before you start the scenario, don't raise your loan at all. Work with the loan and money that you have. If you raise it extremely high, you will have a lot of trouble paying it back later on. Sonicboom: ---------- Get a steel twister roller coaster. Make a slope then make a launched lift hill. Make it go as high as it can go, then drop it as far as it can go, and repeat this until you think it's going to go at least 760mph. Now test it and watch until you hear a booming sound. Your roller coaster is traveling at the speed of sound!! (hint: DO NOT put guests on this coaster)!!! Your park will be closed down due to "dangerous construction". Hint: ----- Submitted by: anvit When you first play roller coaster tycoon.when you get steel roller coaster build it under the land there will be profit in it. Drowning on Land: ----------------- Raise one square of land with the shovel. Now choose a guest and put them there. Raise the water level until they are drowning. When they start drowning lower the water level as fast as you can. When the water goes below ground the guest will keep drowning in the square of land. Wall Thriller: -------------- A nice addition to a rollercoaster ride is a Wall thriller. If the rollercoaster you're using has the "corkscrew" option select it (either left or right.) It will automatically switch to the opposite side (left to right visa versa.) but all you need to do is select the the same thing(left or right corkscrew.) now you'll have a sort-of U-turn. stick a wall or something in front of the U-turn and it'll look like the rollercoaster will slam into the wall. MAKING MORE MONEY FASTER: ------------------------- To get more money, have a free entry price, and charge 5.00 for large rollercoasters, and the lower the intensity of the rollercoaster, go down 50 cents in price.
